Three policemen of Khushkhera police station were suspended after 31-year-old Harish of Rabarakha village in Alwar died in "their custody."

Harish was arrested under Section 151 of CrPC (disturbing peace) after he had a minor suffle with one Jai Singh of the same area on Wednesday. His family was taken aback when they were informed that he was taken to a community health centre (CHC) and was declared brought dead on Thursday around 5pm.

Harish's family, including his wife rushed to the CHC and after noticing injury marks took the body to the police station and demanded immediate action against the police officers involved in the "brutal" killing.

The deceased's wife, Bharti, has lodged a complaint against three cops and Jai Singh for Harish's death.

"We have seen injury marks on his body. Why was he beaten mercilessly by the police," Bharti asked. After the complaint, SP Vikas Kumar said three policemen, including Ravindra Singh, SHO, Bhagwan Sahai, ASI and Om Veer, head constable, have been suspended.

"A murder case under Section 302 was lodged against them. Satpal Midda, additional SP, will investigate the matter," said Vikas Kumar.

The SP added the condition of the accused deteriorated after he was brought to the police station. He was rushed to the community health centre (CHC) where he was declared brought dead.

Locals at Rabarakha village were angry and condemned the brutal police attack that too when Team Raje was camping in Bharatpur division. "This is height of anarchy in the police department. My husband was arrested only for disturbing peace and was brutally killed by the police," Bharti said.
