Protesters subjected to brute force in IOK, several injured

In occupied Kashmir, several people were injured when Indian police used brute force against peaceful protesters in Baramulla and Palhallan townships.People took to the streets in Baramulla and Palhalan and staged forceful demonstrations against arrest of youth. Indian police resorted to baton charge and excessive teargas shelling to disperse the protesters, resulting in the injuring of more than eight people.

Later in Baramulla, the police sealed all bridges connecting old town with new town. The pedestrian and traffic movement was halted for several hours and the people had to take alternative routes to reach their respective destinations.
