Police hold talks with parties over security issues.

Police meets with party representatives concerning next Saturday’s Local Council elections, and discussed security matters as well as making the voting as peaceful as possible.

At the meeting held at Iskandhar Block last night, the Authorities briefed the parties on their current plans and protocol in making the election a safe one for all involved.

Police informed the parties that they would be operating under orders from EC during the Election, and humbly requested the political groups to play their part in making the Election violence-free and sociable as humanely possible.

The gathering was lead by Head Superintendent of Male’ Police, Abdullah Shareef on the request of the Commander for the Election Operation known as ‘Ramatha’.
