Police are trying to arrest the president's representative at the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) for an ongoing criminal investigation.

Police last month summoned Mohamed ‘Reynis’ Saleem for allegedly exploiting a gang to commit crimes, including mugging.

Saleem, however, denies the accusations.

Haveeru understands that the Criminal Court had rejected a police request for an arrest warrant. The ruling was appealed in High Court, which Wednesday declined to issue a warrant.
